Rebecca Border is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner, currently practicing at Arizona Institute of Medicine and Surgery. Her education and training were achieved through the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio.
Rebecca has many years of experience as a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical and Coronary Intensive Care, Labor and delivery, Hemodialysis, and General Medical units. Another aspect of her career was in the academic field, teaching in the ADN program at Mercy College of Toledo Ohio, and teaching Clinical Labs in hospital settings.
Before joining AIMS, she has practiced in Urgent Care Clinics utilizing procedural skills of suturing, I&D, certified to perform DOT physicals, Occupational Medicine for physicals, as well as Worker's Compensation. Other clinical work was in Internal Medicine primary care, Federally funded Family Practice setting with the emphasis on primary care for patients with mental health issues. She also traveled to Nursing Homes treating acute and chronic health conditions, providing care in Rehab centers.
Rebecca is currently married, residing with her husband in Kingman AZ. She has 2 sons that are in Ohio where she previously lived.
