M. Azam Khan, MD, FACS

Dr. A. Khan graduated from King Edward Medical University, Lahore, Pakistan in 1970. Dr. Khan specializes in General Surgery and Gastro-intestinal endoscopy. He has a special interest in Breast cancer, colon cancer and gastrointestinal problems.  He is American Board certified in Surgery and Critical Care. In 2012, he was honored to be designated as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS); this award is given to Physicians who have proven themselves in the field of surgery. Dr Khan has been a member of the active Medical staff of Kingman Regional Medical Center ever since he moved to Kingman AZ in 1977. Recently he was appointed to the Emeritus Staff of that institution. He has performed more than thirty thousand surgical procedures and provided 250k consultations in this town. His wife of 40 years Naghma Khan is a Registered nurse who works with him at the AIMS Surgery Center. His sister Dr. Attiya Salim provides Anesthesia services for him. Two of his daughters are physicians, and one of his sons has recently been promoted as Administrator of AIMS and another son is completing his Law Degree. Dr. Khan is an avid reader and a chess player and has won many awards.
